So next week I am leaving for a two week vacation to England and Ireland! I am so beyond excited for this trip, I already know I am going to love it there! But I’ve been trying to figure out what exactly to pack for my trip for weeks now, because I am usually so bad at packing light. So here is what I have decided on bringing with me on my trip.
Bottoms.
I packed mostly jeans, because I’ll be spending most of my days sightseeing and walking around, and I will probably be most comfortable in jeans, so I packed a grey pair, a black pair, and a regular denim pair. I like that I can use the black pair to create a dressier outfit in case we decide to go out any of the nights were there, and the grey and regular jeans are perfect for casual day looks. I also have one skirt, and one dress, that I can wear any time I want to be a little dressier.
I am packing 8 tops with me, because they don’t take up a lot of room in my suitcase and they will allow me to diversify my outfits the most. I have 2 tank tops, 2 short sleeve blouses, 2 graphic tees, 1 long sleeve blouse, and 1 sweater. most of my tops are black, simply because most of my wardrobe is black… but this will help me put together outfits easier, because I know that all of my tops can be worn with any of my bottoms.
The first jacket I am bringing is a grey motorcycle jacket, this is just a versatile jacket, that will go with pretty much any outfit. I also am bringing a navy rain jacket, because it tends to rain a lot in England and Ireland, so I want to make sure I have at least one water resistant jacket to keep me a little dryer. I am bringing 2 jackets and 2 cardigans with me, one lighter one that I can layer over some of my tops and still wear underneath my jackets, and one longer one that I can wear on it’s own if it is a little warmer one day.
I am bringing 3 pairs of shoes with me, one pair of boots and two pairs of flats. I’ll bring one pair of ballet flats that I can wear with a casual or dressy outfit, as well as my toms, which I can wear with anything. I’ll also have my ankle boots because they will probably be best for walking around and sightseeing in.
As far as accessories go, I am not a huge fan of bringing a ton of jewelry with me when I travel, so I will probably just bring a watch, maybe one or two necklaces. But I mostly like to wear scarves, and since it will probably be a little cooler there, I can definitely use them. I will also bring a cross body bag, I find they are best for travel, because I find it super annoying to be lugging around a huge purse with me all day when I am walking around and sightseeing.
