For Christmas last year, one of my favorite gifts I got was this Kate Spade Fitness Tracker. I mentioned this in my January Favorites post, but wanted to do a more in depth post about it as well! I have been considering getting a Fitbit for a while now, but I was very unsure about whether or not I would actually wear it, so when I saw this Kate Spade tracker, I fell in love! I have the plain black one with the cat ears. I love this because not only does it look really cute, but it’s also super helpful as well.
So once you get the tracker you can download the Kate Spade App, and keep track of how many steps you take in a day, how much sleep you get, and you can set other goals for yourself as well, like drinking water and exercising.
I mostly use it to track my steps everyday, I like to try and do 10,000 steps, so it’s really helpful to be able to pull out my phone, and see where I am for the day. It also tells you how many miles you’ve walked as well as calories burned, which is also nice to know.
With this app, you can also track your sleeping habits. I don’t typically use it for that, just because I don’t like to sleep with it on, but I have done it a few times, and it’s really cool, to see how you’ve been sleeping during the night. So for example last Sunday night I had a really nice night’s sleep and got to sleep in extra late, so I definitely surpassed my goal of 8 hours of sleep for the night. This part of the app also lets you know the amount of time you spent awake, in light sleep, and restful sleep.
Another great thing about this app is that you can set other goals for yourself, like drinking water or exercising, or any other custom goal you might have! One of my new year’s resolutions was to drink more water, so I’ve been using this to track my water intake each week. My goal is to drink 2 glasses of water everyday, so I can record, either in the app, or by tapping on the tracker itself when I have met my custom goals for the day.
Overall I think this is such a cool thing to have, even though I am not super into fitness, I still like to be able to keep track of what I am doing, and to be able to easily set goals for myself. The only downside to this tracker is that it doesn’t have a display screen, but that is not something that really bothers me because I always have my phone on me, so it’s still very easy to check my progress for the day. You can also tap on the tracker to check your progress (it blinks a certain number of times, depending on how far you’ve walked).
So overall I am totally in love with my little tracker, it may not be as nice or high-tech as some of the other options out there, but this one was relatively in-expensive (I did get mine on sale for $50), and it’s perfect for someone who just wants a simple and easy way to track their health, and still look cute while doing it!
Do any of you have a the Kate Spade Fitness Tracker or a Fitbit? Which do you like better?
