My Realistic 1 Hour Morning Routine

I recently posted my nighttime routine, and thought I would also share my morning routine with you guys as well!  I am not a morning person at all… I’ve just never been able to get up super early to start my day.  Because of this I like to cut down my morning routine as much as possible, allowing me to sleep as long as I can in the mornings!  

So this is my morning routine, that I usually complete in about an hour, sometimes as little as 45 minutes.  But I wanted to give you guys a timeline of my mornings so you could see exactly how long it takes me to get ready.  If you are anything like me and you hate mornings, then hopefully this is a routine that could work for you!

7:00 – 7:30 → So at 7:00 my alarm goes off, and then I will usually hit the snooze about, 100 times (yes I’m one of those people), and then I will actually get up at 7:30.  Because I know I am going to hit the snooze, I will usually set my alarm about 20-30 minutes before I actually need to get up.  So my mornings will actually start at 7:30.

7:30 – 7:35 → Then the first thing I do when I wake up is go to the bathroom and brush my teeth, and wash my face.  I don’t typically spend a ton of time on skin care in the mornings, I usually just wash my face very quickly.

7:35 – 7:45 → The next thing I do is curl my hair.  As I mentioned in my nighttime routine, I usually shower at night, then let my hair air dry, so in the mornings, all I have to do it curl my hair.  I usually wear it curly, just because it’s easiest for me to style it this way, I’ve been doing it like this for so long, that it only takes me about 5-10 minutes, so it’s super easy and quick for me to do in the mornings!

7:45 – 8:10 → What I typically spend the most time on in the mornings is my makeup.  I usually spend 15-20 minutes doing my makeup, even though I could easily spend longer doing my makeup, my typical everyday look, which is pretty minimal, doesn’t take that long.

8:10 – 8:15 → Then the next thing I do is get dressed.  I like to pick my outfits out the night before, that way I am not wasting time in the mornings, trying to figure out what to wear.

8:15 – 8:30 → And lastly, I will eat some breakfast, before packing up my stuff for the day and heading out the door!

    this is such a great idea for a blogpost. i wish i was this productive on a morning. i honestly take so long to get ready!

    I always wash my face and brush my teeth first thing in the morning too, makes me feel so clean and awake!
